Fr. Tim Coughlan, Hastings, Ontario, now President of Canada's Missions, learned the Antigonish Movement and was sent to Central America where he worked to bring justice and dignity to the area. He was assisted by Dr. Maria Rovers (St.FX) from the Heatherton area, who also met Dr. Coady. During her sabbatical from St.FX she taught a rural health program. The work of Ria Rovers, Dobson and Arsenault was aired on "Man Alive" by Roy Bonisteel. The "Horizons of Friendship" is an international nonprofit organization and is recognized as a leader in the field of Development & Peace. Goal: eliminate poverty and injustice.
